Welcome to my very first Earth Seed to Bloom Blog !
It is only 4 weeks until Valentine's Day and I am starting to make my plans for buying flowers and organising my deliveries for Chichester and Bognor Regis.
My Wholesalers have already sent through price lists, and although the cost of Red Roses in February is extremely higher than at any other time of the year, they are much on a par with last years prices, so that's a relief !
It looks as though I will be supplying lots of other flowers, there will be mainly Dutch grown Grand Prix Roses, and I will also have some Columbian Freedom Roses, which I have found to last extremely well.
Here are a couple of pictures of last years flower bouquets, I found that Red Grevillea really complemented the Valentine's Red Roses, so I will be using that idea again this time. I much prefer to use a filler like this than Gypsophila, which I only stock if specifically requested.
Watch this space for details for my Valentine's Day deliveries ! I have a plan - which involves a very "fit !" young man !
We are already starting to see lovely Spring flowers becoming available, I have made up some pretty tulip Hand-tied bouquets this week, which have been recipients were delighted with !
